Top rating by a long way for Classen laminate flooring
In the August 2008 edition of its "Test" journal, Stiftung Warentest, a major german product testing foundation, published the results of a wide-ranging test conducted on laminate flooring. A total of 16 different laminate floorings was subjected to a detailed inspection and assessment. As the only laminate flooring to be awarded the good rating, the 7mm thick fine pore Classen Style megaloc was judged to be the winning product.
When grading products, the testers of the Stiftung Warentest paid particular attention to the anti-static surface of the 7 mm thick "Styleworld" flooring from CLASSEN. The flooring received the best rating for this as well as for the other "health properties" test criteria, such as the emission of volatile compounds, formaldehyde and anti-slip properties. the Classen flooring was awarded an overall rating of "very good" (1.2) for the "health properties" category.
Other characteristics of the flooring such as, for example, abrasion resistance, strength of the megaloc joint, water resistance or stain resistance in the "Durability" section were graded by the independent examiners at Stiftung Warentest with a "Good" (2.4).
The "Classen Styleworld Feinpore" laminate flooring was the only one out of 16 flooring products tested to be awarded the composite mark of "Good" (2.1) and therefore turned out to be the leading product in its group. The Stiftung Warentest awarded twelve "Satisfactory" and three "Pass" grades to the remaining 15 test candidates.
"Naturally, we are very pleased indeed at this test result and we are also somewhat proud of it as well", was the initial reaction of the CLASSEN employee. "But is also an incentive for us to do even better."
