soft & silent - the quiet laminate is now on the market
The laminate flooring manufacturer CLASSEN will soon be bringing out a new generation of sound-insulated laminate flooring under the collection name "soft & silent - the quiet laminate". CLASSEN is expecting a reduction of about 70% in room sound from this room-sound insulated version of laminated flooring. This really quiet laminate flooring is being launched with attractive new designs and also in an entirely new size.
At CLASSEN they explained to us how the insulation works for new "soft & silent — the quiet laminate" sound insulation, "With our new air solution technology we are tackling footfall sound effectively right there where it is generated, above the HDF, which is the actual cause of the room sound. Up until now the flooring sold in the trade did indeed have sound insulation, but we have now proved with this new flooring that it is possible to increase the efficiency of this sound insulation significantly."
The difference in footfall sound / room sound is significant. If hitherto, the footfall sound insulation for hard floor coverings has normally been mounted beneath the flooring — as part of a sub-flooring fixture, or fitted directly to the flooring —, with the ‘soft & silent’ flooring it has become an integrated component between particle baord and decor. The innovative insulation technology is therefore not based upon a sound-insulated layer being below, but on the particle board itself. The result is a really "quiet flooring", which is really impressive even in the knocking test. CLASSEN is expecting a reduction of about 70% in room sound insulation in terms of audible impression. At CLASSEN they emphasise that, "The Airsolution-surface with its softly sprung surface is also easier on the joints".
In order to emphasise what a new development the flooring is, ‘soft & silent — The quiet laminate’ has been manufactured in a new easy-lay size of 112 x 27.5 cm as well. "The new 4:1 size of laminate flooring together with our CLASSEN megalog quick lay system is a real benefit as it makes the flooring easier and quicker to lay. At the same time the new flooring is attractive and contemporary.
The attractive designs are also crucial for creating a good visual impact. With small-scale designs in cork, stone and slate the new ‘soft & silent’ collection from the CLASSEN company is up and running.
The exceptional warmth underfoot and scratch-resistance and suitability for commercial applications, anti-static surface are further plus points for ‘soft & silent — The quiet laminate’.
