Baruth / Kaisersesch. Under the slogan "Your Home. Your CASA.", the CLASSEN Group presented its new CASA laminate collection at the beginning of the summer. The focus of development was on the versatile resilience of the flooring for carefree living in modern households. CASA is now being expanded with a new collection. Classico comprises a total of six new designs. What makes it special is that CLASSEN the first 7 mm laminate flooring with a water-resistant installation system.
Save energy with "CASA-Classico"
Saving energy will be more important than ever this winter, as 70% of the total energy consumed by private households is used for heating on average. It therefore makes sense to identify and exploit potential savings. For example, choosing the right flooring can also help to save energy. For this reason, CLASSEN has tested CLASSEN new CASA collection in the laboratory for thermal resistance and thermal conductivity. The lower the thermal resistance, the better the heat penetrates the floor and the faster the room heats up. This is particularly relevant for households with underfloor heating. Thermal conductivity provides information about how quickly body heat is transferred to the floor. A nice side effect: the lower the thermal conductivity of a floor covering, the longer your feet stay warm. The result: the thermal resistance of the 7 mm thick CASA laminate flooring is reduced by 45% compared to a 12 mm thick laminate flooring. The thermal conductivity of CASA is also significantly lower. CLASSEN is thus making CLASSEN decisive contribution to energy savings in households with underfloor heating. The climate also benefits, because the reduction to 7 mm not only saves energy, but also requires less wood in production.
Wetting allowed
Whether there are splashes, spills, or showers at home, thanks to CLASSEN patented megaloc-aqua-protect technology, CASA laminate flooring CLASSEN not CLASSEN . The planks are water-resistant, even suitable for bathrooms, and protected against water penetration at the joints. For a period of 24 hours, no water penetrates through the bevel of the edge profiles, greatly reducing the risk of the edges swelling and protecting the floor from below. This means you don't have to worry about wet mopping or coming home with wet rubber boots.
This is demonstrated by the excellent results in the standard test procedure according to NALFA (North American Laminate Flooring Association). This test examines how laminate flooring behaves when installed and its surface is exposed to standing water for 24 hours. The results show that CASA more than meets the NALFA requirements. In the tests, the surfaces of CASA laminate also demonstrate swelling behavior in the best possible rating class 1. This means that the CLASSEN product performs CLASSEN better than water-resistant laminate flooring from competitors. The megaloc-aqua-protect profile also ensures quick and easy installation of the planks.
