Ceramin®, Uberwood, Manor, and Megaloc

Munich/Kaisersesch, February 8, 2023. The CLASSEN , one of the world's leading manufacturers of laminate flooring and PVC-free wall and floor coverings, will be presenting four groundbreaking innovations at BAU 2023 in Munich from April 17 to 23. In addition to the licensable Megaloc installation systems and the XXL-format, fully recyclable Ceramin® flooring and tiles, the company will also be presenting the new Uberwood® collection with a completely new depth structure in the surface, as well as a new innovative herringbone laminate. All new products can be experienced up close at the CLASSEN booth (Hall A6, Booth 314).

Megaloc - better water protection and easy uninstallation

CLASSEN Megaloc systems have been tried and tested and popular in the flooring industry for many years. The new generation of Megaloc locking systems is not only water-resistant for up to 48 hours, like the previous Megaloc AquaProtect, but also allows already connected planks to be easily removed. Non-destructive removal is not limited to laminate flooring; the fold-down system is also available as Megaloc XXL for floating pre-finished parquet. The family-owned company's commitment to sustainability is reflected here in an extended product life cycle and improved durability of the floors. The CLASSEN also makes the patented system, in which the head edges are easily and quickly locked or simply folded apart for removal, available to the entire industry as part of its licensing business.

Ceramin® - Upcycling and recycling Made in Germany

CLASSEN presenting severalCeramin® innovations at BAU in Munich.Ceramin® consists mainly of natural mineral fillers and polyolefins, primarily polypropylene (PP). More than 60 percent of the plastic content is made from recycled materials. This makes the floor and wall coverings healthy for living, 100 percent recyclable, and a sustainable alternative to PVC flooring, ceramic tiles, and natural stone.

TheCeramin® Tiles collection, which has already proven itself on the market, is being expanded with new designs. This completely new tile category is ultra-light, robust, and ideal for bathroom renovations or refurbishments. Despite their size of 2.55 × 1.20 meters, the XXL designs weigh up to 60 percent less than conventional ceramic tiles and can be laid by one person alone. This makesCeramin® Tiles particularly attractive for DIY enthusiasts and craftsmen.

CLASSEN is also presenting all the technical advances of the newCeramin® generation CLASSEN its new "Nuva" collection. In addition to an embossed bevel in the wear layer, Nuva is particularly notable for its XL formats.

Uberwood® - a new generation of flooring

WithUberwood®, the CLASSEN is presenting a new category of flooring at BAU. Thanks to the company's high level of manufacturing expertise, the floor has a diamond-hard, scratch-resistant surface. This means thatUberwood® achievesservice class 33 and abrasion class 5. In addition, the installation system guarantees water resistance for up to 100 hours. In combination with the two-millimeter-thick underlay, which serves as sound insulation and eliminates the need for additional impact sound insulation, the flooring is suitable for all areas of application—from private living spaces to business or retail premises.

The standard format is complemented by an XL format inthe Uberwood® range, designed to give smaller rooms in particular a more open feel. The look and feel ofUberwood® planks is exceptional and completely new. Three different synchronized structures (Authentic, Iconic, Rustic) and 15 designs leave nothing to be desired. The rustic designs in particular, with structures that previously only real wood floors could achieve in this depth, demonstrate the attention to detail that has gone into the product: modeled on hand-selected local woods, they feature distinctive cracks and knots with authentic highlights, perfected by an additional elegant finish. This makes the planks look so natural that they are almost indistinguishable from real wood applications. In line with the CLASSEN sustainability policy, the wood used comes mainly from FSC® (FSC C100583) or PEFC (PEFC/04-31-0824) certified forests.

Manor - the first herringbone laminate collection

CLASSEN presents CLASSEN first herringbone collection with Manor. While this is not a novelty for the industry, CLASSEN once again demonstrates CLASSEN technological leadership: the completely new installation system does not require left and right planks, thus outshining conventional herringbone products. In addition, there is no need for double stocking in stores and no risk of mixing up the planks during installation. The innovative fold-down installation method ensures real ease of installation and rapid progress with herringbone and standard installation patterns. The synchronized pore appearance emphasizes the naturalness of the decors and gives the products an exclusive character.

These and other innovations can be experienced at the CLASSEN booth at BAU from April 17 to 23.
