Munich, April 25, 2023. The CLASSEN brought innovative design, sustainable floor coverings, and product innovations to BAU 2023. As one of the world's leading manufacturers of laminate flooring and PVC-free wall and floor coverings, the family-owned company plays a leading role in the circular economy and sustainability for the entire industry with its products. This was also reflected in the stand concept.

The flooring for the trade fair stand was made from the company's ownCERAMINⓇ material. This makes it not only robust, but also completely recyclable. Unlike conventional trade fair flooring,CERAMINⓇ flooring is not disposed of in incinerators or landfills, but is 100 percent recycled into new flooring at the CLASSEN factory. After BAU, the exhibition stand itself will be set up in the showroom at the company's headquarters in Kaisersesch. In keeping with its commitment to sustainability, the family-owned company decided not to produce any catalogs. Instead, QR codes were used exclusively at the exhibition stand.

Unprecedented floor coverings

With Manor®, the flooring manufacturer demonstrated its technological leadership at BAU: unlike conventional herringbone designs, CLASSEN first herringbone collection does CLASSEN require left and right planks. This eliminates the need for retailers to stock two types of planks and enables quick and easy installation without the risk of confusion. The innovative product attracted particular interest among visitors to the trade fair and impressed with its ease of use.

At the trade fair, CLASSEN Uberwood®, a completely new category of flooring that is priced and quality-wise between laminate and vinyl flooring, yet boasts a robust and scratch-resistant surface. In addition, the flooring has optional integrated impact sound insulation and can withstand water for up to a week. Inspired by hand-selected local woods, the product imitates the characteristic grains and cracks found in nature. This gives the planks an authenticity that previously only real wood floors could achieve.

The new Nuva collection also proved popular. This further development of the tried-and-testedCERAMIN® products features a milled bevel in the wear layer and a wide range of XL formats. The in-house digital printing process enables a large selection of designs. The product range is based on the company's own material and, like all CERAMIN® products, it is guaranteed to be PVC-free, sustainable, and 100 percent recyclable.

CERAMIN® Flex also celebrated its premiere at BAU. CLASSEN dryback alternative CLASSEN particularly attractive for commercial properties and stands out thanks to its healthy living material. The product will be available from the fourth quarter of 2023. At the trade fair stand, the company also presented new designs for CERAMIN® Tiles – the sustainable alternative to ceramic and stone tiles that is already well established on the market. The tiles are ideal for wet rooms and weigh up to 60 percent less than conventional ceramic tiles. This makes the product particularly attractive for DIY enthusiasts and craftsmen.

Attention to detail and innovation you can touch

The new products, especiallyManor® andCERAMIN® Flex, which were presented to the public for the first time, were a big hit at the trade fair. The detailed and lifelike designs of CLASSEN invite visitors to touch them. BAU was the perfect venue to showcase the high-quality floor coverings to visitors from all over the world. The CLASSEN considers the trade fair a complete success and has already made plans to attend the next BAU, where it will once again inspire the industry with sustainable product innovations.
