CLASSEN wins DOMOTEX Green Collection Award

Kaisersesch, November 28, 2024 – The CLASSEN has received the coveted Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label for CERAMIN®. This award recognizes CERAMIN one of the most efficient and sustainable solutions for the construction and renovation industry.
CERAMIN a completely PVC-free floor covering made from recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP). The use of harmless raw materials and energy-efficient production reduce its ecological footprint. The CLASSEN CERAMIN producing CERAMIN in Germany for over ten years and has continuously promoted environmentally friendly innovations in the flooring industry. In addition to Cradle to Cradle certification, CERAMIN has CERAMIN environmental and quality certificates such as the "Blue Angel" eco-label.

International expert jury awards prize to innovative material CERAMIN

Hanover/Kaisersesch, January 17, 2024. CERAMIN January 11, 2024, the CERAMIN material received the Green Collection Award at DOMOTEX for its outstanding contribution to sustainability and the circular economy in the flooring industry. The leading trade fair for floor coverings in Hanover honored innovative and inspiring achievements by companies in the field of environmental protection for the second time.
An international jury of renowned experts led by Dr. Jacqueline Lemm, head of the Institute for Soil Systems in Aachen, selected the winners from over 70 different submissions. The specially developed, PVC-free material CERAMIN with its forward-looking technology and recyclability: "CERAMIN CLASSEN an innovative combination of natural minerals and polypropylene for a durable and high-performance product that also impressed the jury with its quality." At the award ceremony, Lemm emphasized the high quality of the submissions and the progress made by many companies in the industry. This makes winning an award in this demanding competition all the more valuable.

Excellent quality

The CLASSEN committed itself to environmental issues much earlier than its competitors. The most important aspect in the development of the CERAMIN material CERAMIN and remains its sustainability. The product is made from recycled materials and is therefore 100 percent recyclable. Harmful substances such as PVC and phthalates are deliberately avoided in favor of healthy alternatives – officially certified by the Blue Angel label.

As the technology leader in the sustainable flooring industry, the CLASSEN is setting new standards in recyclability and circular economy with its products. Taken together, all these aspects completely convinced the expert jury of the Green Collection Awards.
