August 5, 2024, Kaisersesch – The CLASSEN is pleased to announce the publication of its sustainability report for the years 2022/23. The report is a key tool for transparently presenting our commitment to sustainable development and our progress in the areas of environment, social affairs, and corporate governance (ESG).
With this report, the CLASSEN underscores its responsibility toward society and the environment. It provides comprehensive insight into our sustainability initiatives and the concrete measures we have taken over the past two years to achieve our environmental and social goals.

"For us, sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a core principle that guides our actions. By publishing this report, we are showing our stakeholders how seriously we take our responsibility. It serves not only to inform, but also to motivate us to continuously improve our sustainable approach," emphasizes Julie Quervel, Head of Accounting and Financial Accounting and part of the CLASSENs sustainability team.
The report documents progress in key ESG areas, such as:

ENVIRONMENT
Our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, the use of sustainable raw materials and the continuous optimization of our production processes to minimize our environmental impact.

SOCIAL
Our commitment to fair working conditions, the promotion of diversity and inclusion, and our support for local communities.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
The further development of transparent and ethical business practices to ensure trust and integrity in all our activities.
The preparation of such a report is the result of intensive collaboration and the commitment of many employees. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your dedicated cooperation and support. Your contribution was crucial to the successful implementation of our sustainability strategy.

The Sustainability Report 2022/23 is now available to download from our website and we invite all interested parties to find out more about our initiatives and progress.

About the CLASSEN Group

As a leading German manufacturer of wall and floor coverings, this family-owned company stands for technological leadership and sustainability. Under the motto "Floors For A Better Tomorrow," the approximately 2,000 employees of the CLASSEN are committed to a sustainable future in all areas of the value chain. With great passion and expertise, they achieve outstanding results – from resource conservation and long life cycles to the complete recycling of healthy wall and floor coverings.

CLASSEN avoids the use of chlorine, PVC, and plasticizers in its healthy wall and floor coverings. With numerous patents available to the entire industry, the company not only underscores its own independence, but also its ongoing commitment to our natural resources. With CERAMIN®, CLASSEN has developed CLASSEN material that consists largely of recycled plastics and is 100 percent recyclable. In this way, CLASSEN is making CLASSEN exemplary contribution to the circular economy.

Founded in 1962 by Dr. Hans-Jürgen Hannig, the family business is currently managed by three generations, including the founder himself.
