On October 14, 2024, the innovative material CERAMIN received the German Design Award in the "Winner" category CERAMIN its exceptional design quality and sustainable properties. The German Design Award sets standards for innovative design developments and honors products that impress with innovative approaches and functional design, thereby making a positive contribution to the sustainable transformation of the economy.
The German Design Award, presented by the German Design Council, is one of the most prestigious international design awards. Since its introduction in 2012, the award has identified significant design trends and promoted exceptional design achievements in the categories of product design, communication design, and architecture. Products and projects from 59 countries were submitted for 2025, with international submissions accounting for 48% of the total. The winners are selected by an international jury consisting of leading experts from all design disciplines, who are characterized by a clear focus on the needs of customers and markets. The German Design Award not only highlights outstanding design quality, but also emphasizes the transformative power of design for the sustainable transformation of the economy.

CERAMIN honored with the "Winner" award because the material impresses with its innovative properties and outstanding design. The PVC-free material consists largely of recycled material and combines an environmentally friendly composition of 60% mineral filler and 40% polypropylene (PP). This combination makes CERAMIN only a sustainable alternative to conventional wall and floor coverings, but also an extremely robust and resistant product. Its exceptional dimensional stability and high resistance to moisture and abrasion are further factors that impressed the jury. 

In addition to the German Design Award, CERAMIN has received numerous other awards CERAMIN recent years, including the Green Collection Award, the German Innovation Award, the Eifel Award, and the Interzum Award. Circularity for a better future

The cradle-to-cradle principle aims to design products in such a way that they can be completely recycled without generating waste. CERAMIN of recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP) and can be reintroduced into the production cycle after its useful life as flooring. Its material properties make it suitable not only for reuse in new floor coverings, but also for use in other products. This contributes to the conservation of resources and supports a sustainable circular economy.
