Kaisersesch, November 28, 2024 – The CLASSEN has received the coveted Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label for CERAMIN®. This award recognizes CERAMIN one of the most efficient and sustainable solutions for the construction and renovation industry.
CERAMIN a completely PVC-free floor covering made from recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP). The use of harmless raw materials and energy-efficient production reduce its ecological footprint. The CLASSEN CERAMIN producing CERAMIN in Germany for over ten years and has continuously promoted environmentally friendly innovations in the flooring industry. In addition to Cradle to Cradle certification, CERAMIN has CERAMIN environmental and quality certificates such as the "Blue Angel" eco-label.

CERAMIN a completely PVC-free floor covering made from recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP). The use of harmless raw materials and energy-efficient production reduce its ecological footprint. The CLASSEN CERAMIN producing CERAMIN in Germany for over ten years and has continuously promoted environmentally friendly innovations in the flooring industry. In addition to Cradle to Cradle certification, CERAMIN has CERAMIN environmental and quality certificates such as the "Blue Angel" eco-label.

Cradle to Cradle Material Health Certificate

The Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health certificate was CERAMIN for CERAMIN in February 2025. The certification has the number 8902 and was carried out by EPEA GmbH – Part of Drees & Sommer as the leading assessment body. It is valid until February 27, 2028, and confirms compliance with the strict, globally recognized material health assessment method of the Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Standard at the bronze level.

Circularity for a better future

The cradle-to-cradle principle aims to design products in such a way that they can be completely recycled without generating waste. CERAMIN of recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP) and can be reintroduced into the production cycle after its useful life as flooring. Its material properties make it suitable not only for reuse in new floor coverings, but also for use in other products. This contributes to the conservation of resources and supports a sustainable circular economy.

A strong signal for the industry

With Cradle to Cradle Material Health certification, the CLASSEN is sending a strong signal for sustainable innovation in the flooring industry. "This certification is another milestone for our company and shows that sustainable business practices and high-quality product solutions can go hand in hand," explains Sebastian Wendel, responsible for strategic business development at the CLASSEN.

The second issue of the magazine, which follows its successful debut in 2023, was published this May.

CLASSEN offers a wealth of content, including inspiring new design trends, information about new products and finishes, and insights into innovations. It also features reports on significant events and developments from the past year, as well as an outlook on what CLASSEN expect from CLASSEN in 2024.

The magazine is aimed at employees, customers, and other stakeholders of CLASSEN and serves as a means of communication for information and news from the family business.

In addition to the annual publication of CLASSEN , the CLASSEN will also publish a sustainability report on a regular basis in the future. The first sustainability report was published in 2022, covering the 2020 and 2021 fiscal years. In the second half of 2024, the CLASSEN will present its second sustainability report covering the 2022/23 fiscal years to document its progress and commitment to transparent sustainability.
